Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, the author confirms that the following requirements have been met:

Title Page

• The title page has been prepared as a separate document.
• It includes the title and, where applicable, the subtitle of the monograph.
• The full names of all authors or editors are provided.
• Each author’s institutional affiliation, country, email address and ORCID identifier are included.
• The corresponding author is clearly identified.
• Short biographical notes about the authors or editors are provided.
• The proposed publication type is indicated: scientific monograph, professional monograph, university textbook, edited volume or other publication.
• An abstract and keywords are provided in Slovenian and English.

Manuscript

• The manuscript is submitted as a separate Microsoft Word (.docx) document.
• The text has been prepared in accordance with the FOŠ Press Instructions for Authors.
• For anonymous peer review, the authors’ names, affiliations, acknowledgements and any other information that could reveal their identity have been removed from the manuscript.
• The manuscript is complete, clearly structured and has undergone language editing.
• Chapter and section headings are organised hierarchically and used consistently.
• The table of contents corresponds to the structure and headings of the manuscript.
• All sources cited in the text are included in the reference list and vice versa.
• In-text citations and the reference list consistently follow the required citation style.
• The manuscript contains no unexplained abbreviations, incomplete sections, comments or tracked changes.

Figures, Tables and Other Material

• All figures, tables, charts and appendices are numbered consecutively, provided with appropriate captions and referred to in the text.
• The source is clearly indicated for all reproduced or adapted material.
• The authors have obtained permission to publish all copyright-protected third-party material.
• Where required, figures and other graphical material are also submitted as separate files of suitable quality.
• All text and labels in figures, charts and tables are legible and consistent with the language of the manuscript.

Ethical and Legal Requirements

• The manuscript is an original work and has not previously been published in the same form.
• All listed authors have made a significant contribution to the work and have approved its submission.
• All sources, direct quotations and paraphrased ideas are appropriately acknowledged.
• Any conflicts of interest and sources of funding have been disclosed.
• Where applicable, approval from the relevant ethics committee has been obtained and documented.
• Any use of artificial intelligence tools has been appropriately disclosed; an AI tool has not been listed as an author.
• The authors accept full responsibility for the accuracy, originality and integrity of the entire content.

Research Data and Open Science

• The research data supporting the findings have been deposited in a trusted repository whenever possible.
• A data availability statement is included in the manuscript.
• Where the data cannot be made available, the relevant legal, ethical or other justified reasons are provided.
• All data sources used in the work are appropriately cited.

Submission

• The submitting author is registered and logged in to the FOŠ Press online submission system.
• The submission metadata are complete and accurate, including the title, abstract, keywords and details of all authors.
• All required documents and supplementary files have been uploaded.
• The authors agree with the editorial policy, peer-review process, copyright terms and licensing conditions of FOŠ Press.
• Before submission, the corresponding author has obtained the approval of all co-authors or co-editors.
